Short Bio:

Kamber is a first-generation Idahoan, born and raised in Idaho Falls, and has lived in the district which she wishes to represent, for over 35 years. She and her two sons went to schools in Bonneville School District 93, where she also substitute taught and has seen k 12 and special education classrooms from within. She worked various part-time jobs, while completing her BA in Art and her Master’s in Training and Development in HRTD through ISU. While she met the demands of her family and navigated through various Health and Welfare, early development programs and mental health.

Her interests in Government included the programs that work to ensure people are given fair opportunities for advancement and needed assistance in times of struggle. Kamber worked for nearly 11 years as a US Census Field Representative* speaking with people throughout areas in Idaho; she understood that the collection of data from ‘the people’ was a system of checks and balances to hold our lawmakers accountable for budgets to these programs. When DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) came in with the cuts, her decision to take a voluntary separation (or risk nothing) did not come lightly. However, her ability to pull herself up again and serve in her community would have to change direction.

An advocate for all humanity she believes in four principles; 1) If you are sick or in need, you should be shown compassion, 2) if you enjoy freedom; you should respect another’s sovereignty, 3) if you want justice, you should stand up against injustice and 4) if you want to teach and lead others, do so with accountability and humility. These are guiding principles on how she would govern and the primary duty of government (in her opinion) is to create safe environments where communities and individuals can succeed. The values persistent in developing economically stable communities are: quality public education for youth and adults, affordability in housing rent or for first-time home owners, quality jobs and careers that will create meaningful experiences within the community and sustaining health care for all!

Views on Issues:

Quality Public Education is an absolute must! Education effects every aspect within a community and equips individuals with means of critical thinking skills to combat oppression and tyranny! Cutting State funding in Public Education is an incredible risk to the economy (with further loss of jobs) and the well being of 'all social classes'.
Kamber believes that workable solutions to complex problems need diversity of socio-economic  and socio- cultural backgrounds consistent in public education systems.  She also considers that quality public education consists all humanities (thinking/history is important) and arts/music (emotional expression); of which she knows is valuable in communities and great for GDP (gross domestic product.)
All problems and their solutions are interconnected! Aside from home and families, schools should primarily create safe environments for learning and  smoother transitions into a jobs or suitable careers for all to succeed.

Medicaid and Healthcare Programs: Everyone should know that these programs help the economy more than hinder not to mention SAVE LIVES! When people are given healthcare for preventative measures they are healthier, when people are healthier the community is healthier. When one is healthier they contribute to society by working and buying products and services.
Kamber believes companies and businesses should contribute to cost of health/medical insurance. Though she understands cost differences of small business owners to large corporations. Programs like ACA did formulate avenues for this adjustment, yet without Medicaid Expansion small businesses owners still struggle to compete with cooperation in providing benefits.
Kamber and her family have been recipients of Medicaid and Woman's Health Programs (that went under the chopping block 2 legislative sessions ago). She knows just how vital the programs are to families in need when companies do not offer such benefits.

Housing and Affordability in General:
Nearly 50% or more for a single lower wage earner's income will go to rent. (Kamber's experience to date is where she gets this fact.) Not to mention 10% income tax, (property taxes nearly .49% if you are a first time home owner) utilities cost, medical insurance, transportation (including vehicle payments)  and dare we mention groceries!
These costs affect us all; (rich or poor) yet it will have more affect on the less fortunate in everyday decisions: of buying food, obtaining a place to live, heating and cooling costs, childcare or general transportation.
Then the cost of making these everyday decisions for the less wealthy will in turn effect business owners finding reliable workers (transportation), then invest property owners  for  "good renters" and so on and so forth. So I ask why are the wealthiest not following along with this very logic?
Inflated prices always fall right back on the consumers. This is your capitalist system and trickle down economics at work folks and Kamber would like to do something about this, it starts with all of us!

ALL PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS ARE LINKED TO ONE ANOTHER! ALL OF THESE ISSUES COMES TO PERSERVING FAMILIES' STABILTY. THAT INCLUDES ALL FAMILIES AND THE WRONGFUL PROSECUTION BY ICE ON FAMILIES. IMMIGRATION REFORM HAS LONG BEEN AN ISSUE MANY POLITICIAN HAVE RUN ON, YET DO LITTLE TO IMPROVE ON SINCE THE 90'S; INSTEAD THEIR TACTICS INSTILL FEAR, IGNORANCE, AND PREJUDICE ON PEOPLE.
